New Sermon Series - Unrelenting Grace

The good news is that God’s grace never lets up, never quits, never runs out. It is unrelenting! In this Eastertide season, our sermon series will celebrate this good news. It begins this Sunday, May 4, with a look at receiving this grace as a gift.

Congratulations to Our Confirmands

Confirmation Sunday was a powerful reminder of God’s grace extended to us through baptism. Eight of our students claimed these promises as they committed to a life of following Christ and belonging to the church. We are proud of you and grateful for your courageous example!

Please remember our confirmands in prayer as they take this important step of faith with us: Hadlee Barnes, J.J. DeFreitas, Michael McCarty, Kellyn Reese, Jude Reichert, Lukka Reichert, Patrick Sebert, W.C. Wooten

Upcoming Chamber Singers Performance

The Stillwater Chamber Singers are celebrating their 40th Anniversary and want to thank FUMC Stillwater for being an amazing host for the last two decades! To thank the church, we are holding our 40th Anniversary Concert here in the sanctuary on May 11 at 2:30pm and would love to have you attend. All past directors will be here as well as many alumni of the group. There will be a wide variety of music including a brand-new piece written for the choir’s anniversary celebration.

FUMC has been home for the group to rehearse in return for the chance to host one or more concerts each year. Retired FUMC Director of Music and Worship, Ed Davis, has been the liaison for the group since they began rehearsing here and, along with all members of the Chamber Singers, is very appreciative of the support the church has always provided for the arts in worship and the community.  We hope to see you here in our beautiful church home at the concert and for years to come!

UWF Hosts Lunch for 2025 Lincoln Academy Grads

Our United Women of Faith hosted the 2025 seniors of Lincoln Academy with a delicious luncheon Tuesday of this week. Seventeen students and their family members, Lincoln staff, and award presenters shared in a meal of chicken tenders, green beans, potato casserole, and cupcakes, most of which was prepared by our ladies. Each student goes home with a graduation photo and memorable keychain as recognition for their achievement. First UMC has been honoring the Lincoln Academy graduates for more than a decade! We are proud to carry on this tradition and look forward to it every year.
(apologies to those who are not pictured)
