Baptism and Membership
Sebastian and Margaret Twins
On Aug. 3, Margaret and Sebastian Twins made the their public profession of faith, received the gift of Holy Baptism and joined our church! What an amazing privilege to share in this gift of grace for them. We captured a few pics of their baptism below. Above is a picture of them right outside the FLC. Make sure to give them a warm First UMC welcome next time you see them!

Get in the Game, Final Wrap Up
Here’s how we scored in the fourth week of our sermon series, “Get in the Game!” Disciple Bible Study – 6 Living the Questions – 4 Sunday School – 0 Children’s Sunday School – 0 We’ll hold open our response form through this coming Sunday, in case anyone else wants to sign up. If you haven’t had a chance to respond, CLICK HERE for the response form. Let’s celebrate the connections made over the last four weeks. We had 93 folks step forward to “Get in the Game,” to move from the bench to the playing field of faith. What a remarkable response! On Sunday, the Missions Committee will throw a party for us with fun snacks and treats available at the end of each worship service. Let's celebrate a win for the Kingdom of God! See you Sunday, Pastor Charla |

New Young Adult Groups Launching
Starting Thursday, September 4th, our church is kicking off two brand-new young adult groups designed just for you! Whether you’re looking for free food, real conversation, or just a break from the stress of school or work, these groups are all about finding community and faith together.
Lunch Break – Sundays at Noon
Right after worship, stick around for Lunch Break! We’ll head out (or bring in) lunch together every Sunday at 12:00 pm. It’s laid-back, no pressure, and a great way to connect with other students while sharing a meal. Come hungry, leave encouraged.
The Way – Thursdays at 7:00pm
Need a midweek reset? The Way meets every Thursday night at 7:00 pm in the Chapel (next door to the sanctuary). We’ll dive into real conversations about life and faith, ask big questions, dig into scripture, and figure out together what it means to follow Jesus in today’s world. Plus, there will always be snacks and laughter!
Both groups are open to all young adults. Whether you’re new in town or have been around forever, there’s a place for you here.
Bring a friend. Bring your questions. Bring your appetite.
For more info, contact Pastor Corey by CLICKING HERE or just show up! We’d love to see you!

Topics include: what we believe about God, what salvation means, the role of the Holy Spirit, how we interpret scripture, a brief overview of the key Methodist beliefs, and the importance of Communion and Baptism.
Anyone is welcome to participate in this class; it is specifically designed for those who are not connected in a group or who are new to the Christian faith.
