New Member - Flo Stuckert

Maundy Thursday Service
In John’s gospel, we hear Jesus say, “I give to you a new commandment…that you should love one another as I have loved you.” He leads by example as he washes their feet and then reinterprets the Jewish Passover feast. This becomes what we now call, “The Last Supper.” On Maundy Thursday, we come to the Communion Table to remember this powerful moment between Jesus and his disciples – this moment that led to the garden, the cross, the tomb.
Join us on Thursday evening at 7:00 pm in the sanctuary for a special time of worship. We will hear this sacred story and discover the grace of the Table anew.

Good Friday
Join us for lunch on Good Friday. We’ll gather with other Stillwater area Methodists as we observe this holy day. Lunch will be served starting at noon. Our order for worship and conversation will begin at 12:15pm. Menu: Taco salad.

Annual Easter Egg-stravaganza
Come one, come all for this community-wide celebration on April 19th, from 10am-12pm! This year we will have inflatable games, face painting, kona ice and popcorn, and of course tons of fun! If anyone would like to be the Easter Bunny or assist with face painting, please contact Irene at iupson@fumcstw.org
Due to the possibility of inclement weather, we are prepared to move the fun and games indoors to our Family Life Center should the weather change before/during the event.

Confirmation Sunday
Join us Sunday, April 27th, for Confirmation, as eight youth will confirm the promises made at their baptisms and step into full membership with our congregation! This is the culmination of a dedicated year of study and mentoring, so please join us as we celebrate them and the mentors who’ve poured into them.
They will be confirmed at the beginning of the 8:30 service, with introductions at the later services. All are invited to a reception in their honor beginning at 9:30am, upstairs FLC.

Rise Against Hunger Lenten Emphasis

Total raised so far: $8,754.85
Throughout the season of Lent, we are raising funds for Rise Against Hunger, along with our sister UMC congregations: Eden Chapel, Highland Park, Lost Creek, Perkins First. During the season of Lent, it is traditional for Christians to make a sacrifice...maybe that favorite cup of coffee, Sonic drink, entertainment outing, one meal a week, etc. The money saved can be donated to the Rise Against Hunger Lenten project. Our community goal is to raise $10,000 by Easter Sunday. These funds will then be used for a meal packaging event in May. We aim to package over 24,000 meals that will be sent around the world where food is scarce.
