Just a friendly reminder that this weekend we will spring forward and lose an hour! Most cellphones will automatically make this adjustment, but you'll need to manually adjust clocks that are not connected to the internet. If you forget to make the change, you'll be attending a later service than you intended. See you Sunday!

Celebration of Life Service - Gerald “Jerry” Brusewitz

We previously announced the death of long-time First UMC member, Gerald “Jerry” Brusewitz. He passed on to his eternal home the end of December, 2024. A memorial service celebrating his life will be held Monday, March 10th, at 10:30am, in the Sanctuary. We pray for God's strength to comfort Jerry’s wife, Glenna Williams, and all of his family.

Celebration of Life Service - Naomi Von Gunten

Long-time First UMC member, Naomi Von Gunten, passed on to her eternal home last Sunday at the amazing age of 101. A memorial service celebrating her life will be held Monday, March 10th, at 2:00pm, in the Sanctuary. May God be a source of strength and comfort to her friends and family.

Communion Servers Needed

We come to the Lord’s Table on the first Sunday of every month. Would you be willing to serve Communion to our congregation this spring? Pastor Charla is looking for servers on April 6, May 4 and June 1.

If you would like to be a Communion Server, fill out our sign-up form by CLICKING HERE. You can also send Pastor Charla an email at cgwartney@fumcstw.org or call the church office. Once the schedule has been set for the next three months, she’ll send it out to everyone. Thanks for being willing to serve!

Rise Against Hunger Lenten Emphasis

Throughout the season of Lent, we are raising funds for Rise Against Hunger, along with our sister UMC congregations: Eden Chapel, Highland Park, Lost Creek, Perkins First. During the season of Lent, it is traditional for Christians to make a sacrifice...maybe that favorite cup of coffee, Sonic drink, entertainment outing, one meal a week, etc. The money saved can be donated to the Rise Against Hunger Lenten project. Our community goal is to raise $10,000 by Easter Sunday. These funds will then be used for a meal packaging event in May. We aim to package over 24,000 meals that will be sent around the world where food is scarce.

UWF share their Crochet skills with the Youth!

Sunday night, the UWF (United Women of Faith) joined our Youth to teach and share their crocheting talents. Thank you to those who shared their skills and talents. It was such a blessing!

Easter Eggs Needed for Annual Eggstravaganza

We are so excited for our annual Easter Egg Eggstravaganza coming up on April 19th! We are currently fully stocked on candy (thank you to everyone who donated!) Now all we need are plastic eggs! There are plastic egg donation baskets set out in both buildings to collect empty, plastic, extra-large or jumbo eggs. Thank you for your help!
