We have received an offer on the parking lot east of the Family Life Center, across Duck Street. To execute the sale, we must receive Charge Conference approval. This called Charge Conference will receive only this item of business and is scheduled for Wednesday, January 15, at 5:30pm. We’ll meet in the Social Hall in the sanctuary building. All are welcome to attend. Voting members are those on the Church Council. 

Pastor Charla begins a new sermon series this Sunday called, “Five Cups of Coffee.” During this series, she is inviting you and a friend and have five foundational faith conversations because we were not meant to experience faith alone. This weekend, we'll provide a printed guide for the five conversations (with extras at the visitor stations and office)!

If you'd like, Pastor Charla will match you with a conversation partner. She'll need the answers to THIS QUESTIONNAIRE to make the match. It should take you about 5 minutes. The deadline for submitting the form is Jan. 15 and she’ll make the matches no later than Jan. 20. This is a great opportunity for you to get to know someone else in our congregation as you listen for God’s call in each other’s lives. 

Stillwater First UMC has an app! This will be your easiest way to check-in, request prayer and give. You’ll also find every addition of our E-news, starting with the most recent, on the app. With the touch of a button, you can find our sermon archives and info about upcoming events. Very soon, you’ll be able to stream our Sunday services from the app. More features will be rolled out as we enter 2025.

Garett Reding, our Communications and Tech Coordinator, has planned two sessions (both will go over the same information) for those needing help getting connected with our app. The first session will be Sunday, January 12, at 2pm in the Social Hall. The second session will be Thursday, January 16, at 6pm in the Social Hall. We may offer a third makeup session at a later date as well for those unable to attend one of these sessions.

Bishop Laura Merrill will join us for lunch on Sunday, Feb. 9 and you are invited! We’ll have a chance to get to know Bishop Merrill as she shares with us. She’ll get to know us as we highlight our ministry in the Stillwater community. There is no charge for the meal, but we will receive donations to help offset the cost of the meal. The UMM made sure that 2024 ended with a high note!  This week a group of the Methodist Men delivered 3,938 pounds of cast-off food from Walmart and Sprouts to Our Daily Bread for serving needy folks in the area, marking their largest delivered amount yet!
