For generations, the Sanctuary Building has been a cherished place where our church family has gathered for worship, prayer, weddings, funerals, baptisms, and countless meaningful moments. As we continue caring for this sacred space, an important need has become clear: the Sanctuary Building needs a new tile roof. The current tiles are approximately 100 years old, and some have begun to shift. In addition, the felt paper beneath the tile has developed areas where leaks are occurring.

The Trustees have prayerfully and carefully reviewed options for addressing this need and have identified an Oklahoma contractor who specializes in our roof type. The current quote for the project is $495,000. We anticipate requesting a Foundation Loan for more than half of the project cost, and we are inviting our church family to consider helping with the remaining need as they feel led.

1. Financial Contributions – From time to time, members have asked to be made aware when there is a meaningful need they can help meet. This is one of those moments. If you would like to participate by contributing toward the Sanctuary Building tile roof project, your gift will make a real difference and will be received with gratitude.

2. Pray for This Project – Please pray for the safety of the roofers, continued financial provision, and a successful project that protects and preserves the Sanctuary Building for years to come.

This project is about more than replacing a roof. It is a way for us to care for a sacred space that has served generations before us and, with God’s help, will continue serving generations to come.

We are deeply grateful for the faithful support of our church family and for the many ways you continue to care for the mission and ministry of our church. Every gift helps reduce the amount that must be borrowed and supports the long-term care of the Sanctuary Building.

There is a new women's Bible study starting up on Tuesday, September 22nd, at 9:30am, in the Parlor (Sanctuary Building.)  They will be using the book, "Making Peace with What I Can't Control: Find Relief from the Exhaustion of Overthinking, Trying to Fix Others, and Wanting to Figure it All Out."  The author is Lysa Terkeurst.  All are welcome to join and if you have any questions contact Velda Lorenz @ 405-269-8287

The United Women in Faith will have a fundraising Spaghetti Dinner on Sunday, September 27 in the Social Hall from 11am-1pm. The menu will include spaghetti and meatballs, salad and breadsticks and dessert. Donations will be accepted for the meal. In addition to the meal, at 9:30am there will be a bake sale and craft sale in the hallway leading to the Social Hall. Items for sale will be our famous hand-painted pumpkins, needle crafts and other handcrafted items. All proceeds from the meal and craft sale will be donated to three local agencies: Our Daily Bread, Wings of Hope and Payne County Youth Services.

Get Ready for Spooky Season! The countdown to Trunk or Treat is on.

Help us fill our candy baskets with treats by donating individually wrapped, bagged candy. Donation baskets are located in the FLC and Sanctuary buildings and will be available until the event.

And don’t forget to start dreaming up your spookiest, silliest, or most creative trunk decorations as we host a Trunk or Treat for our community on October 31st from 5-7pm.

Volunteers are needed for our Thursday Community Dinner! We are looking for individuals willing to serve just one Thursday a month from 4:30-6:00pm. Help is needed with serving food, hospitality, setup, and cleanup as we continue providing meals and care for our community each week. If you are able to help, please sign up by CLICKING HERE
