First UMC Weather Update

We received a significant amount of ice in Tuesday’s winter storm. As of this morning, our parking lots are frozen solid — as are the sidewalks and entry ways. No significant thawing is expected until Friday and Saturday. For this reason, we will keep our buildings and office closed today (Feb. 19) and tomorrow (Feb. 20). This means all activities for Wednesday and Thursday have been canceled.

We will have our Church Council meeting tomorrow (Feb. 20) evening at 5:30 pm via Zoom. Our main item of business is to receive the proposed 2025 budget for deliberation and approval. A portion of this meeting will be called as a charge conference to approve a raise in the associate pastor’s salary. This is an open meeting.
