Deke Johnson's Memorial Service

All are invited to attend the celebration of life service for long-time FUMC member, Deke Johnson. His service will begin at 11am in the Sanctuary. Please join us in praying for his family and friends during this time of loss and grief.

Our New Photo Directory is on the Way

We are preparing for a new church directory, arriving some time in early October. We’ll be taking the photos onsite for two Sundays, Aug. 30 and Sept. 13, after all three worship services. There is no need for an appointment. Find a photo station after worship and get your family photo taken. Note that these are not intended to be professional portraits and you’ll not be asked to purchase photos. The purpose is simply to have recognizable photos of your faces. In addition to getting your picture made, we’ll ask you to update your contact information and decide which items you’d like to have listed in the directory.

This directory will primarily be available through an app. This allows for all information to be updated every time you open it, eliminating the question of whether this is really the right contact info or not. Of course, that assumes that you tell us when you update your information. There is no charge for the app or accessing the directory this way. We have full control over who has access. Everyone who is listed in the directory will be offered access. We will also offer printed copies of the directory at cost, between $5-10.

We’ll continue to update you as the details fall into place. For now, please plan to either have your family photo taken on our picture days (Aug. 30 or Sept. 13) or submit a photo to churchoffice@fumcstw.org Thanks for your patience and support as we build this congregational resource together.

Lunch Break is BACK!

For our college students, we meet every Sunday after late service at the back of the Sanctuary to go have lunch together! It's a great and laid-back time of fun and fellowship. If you have questions or want to get connected, reach out to Pastor Corey.

Young Professional's Group Returns

Our next Young Professional's gathering is coming up on Thursday, August 27th at 7:00 pm at Fuzzy's! If you are a young adult (under 35ish) that doesn't consider "college student" to be your main thing, this just might be the group for you!

Celebrating Promotion Sunday

From our Backpack Blessing and piñatas to Ultimate Air, this past week has been an absolute blast - from our youngest to our oldest kiddos!

Revelation Choir enjoyed a special retreat, followed by food, fellowship, and fun as we celebrated Promotion Sunday. Then, our youth kept the celebration going Wednesday night bowling!

What a wonderful way to kick off the new school year - together, surrounded by laughter, friendship, and plenty of great memories! We are so thankful for our amazing kids and youth and excited to see all that God has in store for them this year!

Weekend Food Sacks Update

The Children’s Weekend Food Sack Program is getting started for the 2026/2027 school year. We will work with the schools in Stillwater who will identify the children who are food insure. The supplemental weekend food sack will be sent home on Fridays with these students. This is a help for many families who rely on the breakfast and lunch programs during the school days, but have a need on the weekends
.
We ended the last school year packing 3000 sacks for each month. We plan to start this year doing this same amount in order to be prepared to meet the needs. The current cost per food sack with 11 food items is $7.22. All monies needed for this program are from donations. We appreciate all the support from our volunteers and those that contribute to the funds required to meet the needs of these children. Many thanks from Karen Hinton, Nancy Allford and Linda Blum - coordinators for the program.
