The Storehouse

 2823 S Husband • Open Thursdays 4:00 to 6:00 p.m.
The purpose of the Storehouse is to provide free food for people in need.  Food may be canned, boxed, fresh and/or frozen, depending on what's available.  Fresh produce is available seasonally through a partnership with the Stillwater Farmer's Market.  A limited amount of free household items including linens and children's books are also available on a first come, first served basis.  People may visit the Storehouse once per month per household (i.e., address).  The visit can be anytime during the month.  It doesn't have to be 30 days from the last visit.  If two or more families share the same address, only one family can get food each month.
Handouts are in English and Spanish, and we frequently have a fluent Spanish speaker on hand.
Two forms of Identification are required.  One has to be a photo ID (state, tribal, school).  The second must be official proof of current address, such as a bill, bank statement, social security correspondence, etc., and it must contain the person's name, address and a fairly current date.  Handwritten receipts and personal or junk mail are not accepted.First time visitors can get food without IDs but they must have the IDs for every subsequent visit.
We accept food and cash donations, but we do not accept household donations due to space limitations.  Volunteers are always needed.  To volunteer or for more information, please contact Kyle Anderson.
