We are a church beyond walls.

Confirmation is an opportunity for youth to confirm and proclaim their faith in God. Through class sessions with the senior and associate pastors and meeting with personal mentors in the fall and spring semesters, Confirmation participants gain a basic understanding and knowledge of the Christian faith, learn about the core beliefs and practices of the United Methodist tradition, and come to a full understanding of their baptism and what it means to become a professing member of the Stillwater First United Methodist Church.
Participants are given the opportunity to join the church in May on Confirmation Sunday. Confirmation meets on Wednesdays from 3:45 to 5:00 p.m. upstairs in the Family Life Center during the Fall and Spring semester while school is in session. Confirmation is designed for student’s entering the sixth grade, but seventh and eighth graders who have yet to be confirmed may also participate. For more information please contact Alton Carter, Youth Director.
