Mike Chaffin, Senior Pastor
Having once served as Associate Minister directing our youth ministry, Rev. Mike Chaffin has returned to serve as the Senior Pastor of First United Methodist Church. He and his wife Leanne come to Stillwater from Tulsa, where Mike served as the District Superintendent of the Tulsa District. Before his appointment as District Superintendent, Mike served as the Senior Pastor of Victory Memorial United Methodist Church in Guymon for fifteen years. Bearing witness to their passion for ministry, the Chaffins have received numerous recognitions for their labors of love including Mike being honored with the State of Oklahoma Advocacy Award presented by the Governor’s Commission on Homelessness and Affordable Housing in Oklahoma; the Phillips Theological Seminary 2006 Outstanding Oklahoma Conference United Methodist Alumnus; and both Leanne and Mike receiving recognition by Tulsa Kids Magazine as recipients of the “20 Tulsans who Care Award” for their work with foster children.
Kyle Anderson, Associate Pastor
Pastor Kyle moved with his wife, Heather, to Stillwater and joined the staff of the Stillwater First United Methodist Church in June of 2011. Kyle received his Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology and a Minor in Religion from Oklahoma City University and received his Masters of Divinity degree from Saint Paul School of Theology in Kansas City, MO. When he’s not at the church, you may find Kyle enjoying life through spending time with Heather and their son Kaden, watching college football or playing the trombone.
